Description of Nodulizer

Nodulizer, also known as rare earth silicon magnesium nodulizer (FeSiMg), is an additive that can promote the crystallization of graphite into spherical cast iron. The main component of "spheroidizing agent" is nodularizing elements, such as Mg, Ce, Ca, etc.

Silicon-magnesium-iron nodulizers can significantly improve the strength of cast iron, and have the functions of degassing, desulfurization and deoxidation. Silicon-magnesium-iron nodulizers are widely used in metallurgy and steelmaking industries.

Size: 5~15mm, 3~25mm, 8~40mm, 25~50mm, or according to customer requirements.

Application of FeSiMg Nodulizer

Rare earth ferro silicon magnesium nodularizer is mostly used in the production of ductile iron, ductile iron is a valuable high-strength cast iron material developed on the basis of gray cast iron. Due to the spherical distribution of graphite, ductile cast iron greatly reduces the splitting effect on the matrix, its mechanical properties are significantly improved compared with gray cast iron, and its comprehensive properties are close to those of steel. It is based on its excellent performance that it has been successfully used to cast some parts with complex stress and high requirements for strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Ductile iron has rapidly developed into a cast iron material that is second only to gray cast iron and is widely used.


The amount of nodulizer will affect the properties of molten iron and also affect the size and grade of the foundry.
